Kummara Early Years Service (KEYS)

At KEYS we believe that the process of learning and inquiry about the environment and the world can be full of excitement and challenges for children. Children need the right facilities, learning environment, and early childhood teachers to assist them in their early learning.

KEYS is fully equipped for 22 places per day and is a 1 room service and working with a mixed ages approach enrolling children from 2yrs to school age. KEYS hours of business is from 8:00am to 4:30pm from Monday to Thursday.

At KEYS, our role is to assist each child in reaching its full potential. We respect and value the highly inquisitive and curious nature of young children and will seek to facilitate and challenge their learning experience. All of our programs are carried out in a safe, healthy, and caring environment.

Through our approach to early childhood education, we will carefully scaffold children’s intellectual, emotional, physical and social development and work individually with each child to meet their needs. We recognise and support the diversity of families that make up our centre's community and we value the uniqueness each family brings to our centre.

Under NO circumstances will the centre support any policy or actions that is inequitable or discriminatory in terms of access because of gender, ethnicity, disabilities, religion or marital status. We are privileged and delighted that you have chosen our centre to assist your child’s education from this early childhood stage. We hope to make their time here a joyous and memorable one.

If you have any questions regarding our policies and general information please call the centre and speak to the staff at any time.

The centre is licensed by, and must comply with the Education and Care Services National Regulation (2011). We follow the Early Years Learning Framework and are committed to continuing improvement and self-assessment under the National Quality Standards. We are proud to say that we exceed all licensing requirements in relation to staffing (qualifications and child to caregiver ratios).

The Office of Early Childhood Education and Care, whose representative visits the centre on a regular basis, regulate our centre. The contact details are:
